Jen > We actually heard a rattlesnake hiss soon after this picture was taken.  It frightened us a little!
Jen > The caves were so fascinating.  We crawled around in the rocks for quite a while.
Jen > Here are some Pictographs, they are in red.  The black line is where the dirt has been excavated.

Jen > The cliff face at Pictograph Cave State Park.
Jen > A shallow cave used by the Natives and modern day archeologists alike to escape the heat of the sun.
Jen > Here is the same cave close up.  It wasn't deep enough for anyone to live in, but it would offer a nice afternoon shade.

Jen > A far away view of the second cave.  Notice the water marks above the cave where the rain drips in.
