Polebridge purposefully doesn't allow the roads coming into to town to be paved or to have electricity. They are a laid back, friendly, but isolationist group of people. We caught the Saturday night volleyball and pizza night at the Northern Lights Saloon, all the locals and their children and dogs came out for this weekly event.
